News from C4A Project at Tirrim Primary School, Kenya

In 2009 and 2011 donors from Canada through Classrooms for Africa provided funds to build classrooms and support facilities for the nomadic desert children on the Rendille people of northern Kenya. The facilities have provided a hospitable environment for the children to learn, a refuge from the burning heat, dust storms and occasional heavy rain storms which are part of their everyday lives.

This week C4A heard from the directors of the project. They reported that the high standard of education being provided for these otherwise forgotten children has enabled the students of the primary school to perform exceptionally well. In recent years the school’s academic achievements have led to it being ranked either first or second best in the province. Three recent graduates have won places in top secondary schools in Nairobi.

Thank you for your part, Classrooms for Africa donors!
